How it works
This tool uses a video engine (FFmpeg) that runs entirely in your browser: the file never leaves your device. The video is re-encoded to H.264 (MP4), the most compatible format, lowering the bitrate and — if you want — the resolution, to get a much lighter file while keeping good quality.
Tips
The Balanced mode is fine almost always. If the video is for WhatsApp, email or social and you want the smallest possible file, pick Maximum compression and reduce the resolution to 720p. For very large or long videos, remember the processing happens on your own computer and takes time and memory: on a phone, start with short clips.
