What makes a password strong?
Two things: length and randomness. A 16-character password mixing uppercase letters, numbers and symbols would take a modern computer centuries to crack. "Clever" passwords like a pet's name plus a birth year, on the other hand, fall in seconds — they're the first thing cracking tools try.
