Molar mass
Type a chemical formula: get the molar mass in g/mol and each element's contribution, with the percent composition.
Examples: H2O · NaCl · Ca(OH)2 · CuSO4·5H2O · Al2(SO4)3
What it's for
Molar mass (grams per mole) is the starting point of every stoichiometry exercise: from moles to grams and back. The tool handles nested parentheses, coefficients and hydrated salts.
Mind the case
Every element starts with a capital letter: «CO» is carbon + oxygen, «Co» is cobalt. It's the most common mistake when a formula «doesn't add up».
