Make a word search

Who it is for
Teachers preparing a worksheet for the class (history vocabulary, English verbs, the new words of a language), and anyone running a party or a treasure hunt for children. It is material you print and hand out: here it comes out already laid out, with the word list under the grid and the solution on a separate sheet, so you can hand it over without.
The difficulty is your choice
On easy the words go only left to right and top to bottom, suitable for the youngest. On medium the diagonals are added. On hard the words can also go backwards (right to left, bottom to top). Words can cross, sharing a letter, as in a crossword.
Every word is really there (and the page double-checks)
In a drawing made by a program the typical fault is not a text error, it is a word the program thinks it placed but which cannot be read in the final grid (because another word overwrote it, say). Here, after filling the grid, the page searches every word again in all directions and keeps in the list only the ones it truly finds: what is written «to find» is guaranteed findable.
Accents, spaces and words too long
The words are put in uppercase and without accents (PERÒ becomes PERO), as in real word searches, and spaces disappear. A word longer than the grid side cannot fit: instead of cutting it or silently enlarging everything, it is declared separately, so you can shorten it or pick a bigger grid.
What it does not do
