What splitting a PDF is for
Extracting just some pages is handy to keep the chapter you care about from a manual, separate a single invoice from a summary, remove blank or advert pages, or send only the signed part of a contract instead of the whole document.
How to specify pages
Write the numbers separated by commas and use a dash for ranges: for example 1-3, 5, 8-10 extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10 in that order. The pages are added in the order you write them. If instead you do not know which pages you need and only have to stay under a maximum size, there is Split a PDF by size.
